This internship came to fruition through a mutual agreement that there are not enough paid opportunities for young adults to continue to explore technology in the summer and prepare them for future careers in tech.
During this paid summer internship, 10 Twin Cities high schoolers gained tech and career experience. They designed, built, and programmed a REV robot, which they competed with and presented publicly at the end of the summer. They also gained invaluable professional skills, meeting with over 40 industry professionals as they shared about different career opportunities and how to pursue them effectively.
By the end of this summer, our interns had a background in coding, experience in the workplace, and network connections with tech professionals.
